(More customer reviews)If you are looking to buy your child a solid and sturdy cart that will hold up to any rough play, multiple children, can be used indoors and out and will last for years, then look no further. As any Step2 product we have used, this is very well made and would be a breeze to clean if it ever gets dirty. It also comes fully assembled :)
The way the basket part of this is, makes it work very well for both a cart and a baby buggy, They can lay their baby down with a blanket and even some baby supplies and off they go(it also has the front seat for a doll to sit). I also like that this basket doesn't have any holes so they can put anything at all in this and not have to get annoyed that it falls out. Also this has a place under the basket that you can put stuff just like a real cart(if I were a kid I would be really excited about that feature...heck, I am an adult and I think it's a neat feature)
This easily rolls on carpet and bare floors and will smoothly go over rugs or just about anything really. I agree with another poster who said they wouldn't recommend this as a learning type of walker, only stable walkers should use this but I think that is true with any kid shopping cart although I have read reviews from several people who said the Little Tykes was more stable for learning to walk(I would still get a toy meant for a learning walker such as Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker rather than get a shopping cart meant for ages 2 and up.
We bought this for our friends daughter on her 2nd Birthday, it was a huge hit for her daughter and my 2 year old girls. She also received a cheap/flimsy cart that came with food(Circo brand)...don't buy one of those just because it comes with the food. Spending more $$ one this nice sturdy one is WELL worth it! If you have twins or more, I would recommend buying 1 for each kid so they can 'shop' together.
**If you don't want to buy all the fake food, save some money and use items from your kitchen. All 3 girls kept ripping open fake boxes looking for food and getting annoyed they were all empty, lol. I think little boxes of raisins, boxes of animal crackers and items from your kitchen would work just fine and they can actually eat some of their groceries : )
If you have any questions let me know and I will try to help you out.
