(More customer reviews)This car has survived my two children (now ages 5 & 12). Obviously, both have outgrown it but from ages 2-4 they loved riding around in the house on it. Neither child was overly interested in the extra "toys" on the car with the exception of the horn and the telephone. The horn did break off after my first child finished with it, but the rest of it is still intact.
Caution - the wheels are plastic so they may scratch hardwood floors if it will be used inside.
The price seems a bit high for this type of toy - I'm sure you're paying for the Kettler name. The plastic isn't Little Tykes quality and most kids will physically outgrow it by age 4. My 5 year old tried riding it a couple of months ago and even she had to admit that it's time to move onto "bigger" things.

Sure, actual driving may be a decade-and-a-half away (thank goodness), but you can get your toddler started on the right foot with Kettler's Baby First Car foot-to-floor ride. The dual-use product serves as both a ride-on toy--letting you push your toddler around the house--and a push car that eases the transition between crawling and walking. Just prop your toddler up on two legs, put his or her hands on the Baby First Car's rear walker bar, and let little Thomas or Kitty do the rest.
The car, which is made of sturdy and safe polyethylene resin, also sports an activity panel in the front with several fun play extras, including a squeaker horn, shifter, telephone, turning key, hide and seek window, and peek-a-boo animals. And thanks to the under-the-seat storage, the Baby First Car can actually help reduce the clutter in a kid's room (name five other toys that can do that). So give your child a head start on getting around with the Baby First Car. Adult assembly is required.
