Carrera Speed Fighter - 1:16 Scale Review

Carrera Speed Fighter - 1:16 Scale
Average Reviews:

Great durable toy!. It is well built and very sturdy. And the charge (unlike many rc cars) lasts a long time. I gave this to my six year old (and me) for Christmas. He loves it. So do I. It has a fast and slow setting. He learned how to maneuver on the slow setting and can now race well on the fast setting. He repeatedly crashed it while he was learning how to use it and caused almost no damage to the car. Very impressive in terms of craftsmanship. Very rare today. It is worth the extra bucks. The Germans apparently make good toy cars as well as real cars!

Tonka Ricochet RC Vehicle 4 X 4 RC 27MHZ (RED) Review

Tonka Ricochet RC Vehicle 4 X 4 RC 27MHZ (RED)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My 11 year old nephew who is an R/C afficianado loved this car, and hasn't wanted to stop playing with it (He's set up a big ramp on a dirt hill for to master more tricks with it). Here's the ups and downs of it for us:
The GREAT:
0 According to him, it's just cool. It does things other remote cars don't. Transforming into a monster truck ("awesome"), flipability (is that a word?)/Double-sided, and it's super fast. Plus, it's really a nice big size for all that speed. (a little bigger than a shoe box)
0 Highly durable: That's the one thing I always worry about w/ these cars - but this one has been put to every test
0 Easy-to-use remote for doing all those tricks.
THE NOT SO GOOD:
0 Battery life and access:
It's great they've made such a good toy that noone wants to stop playing it, but not so good that the longest it can be played is about 1-1/2 hours before it needs to be charged for another four hours. Then you need to grab the philips screwdriver to pull it out for charging.
MY NEPHEWS WISHLIST FOR IT:
As I said, he loves the car. He's been playing with it pretty much whenever it's not charging. But, here were his suggestions:
- Put an extra battery pack in (or sell them somewhere at a reasonable price) so that while he's playing another could be charging. That would at least double playing time to 3 hours.
- And just as a wish, he'd like to see the next version be able to transform to a monster truck whichever side is up - not just from one side.
BOTTOM LINE: A great, unique fun remote control car that I suspect will be on a lot of kid's wishlists later this year, and has lasting playing power in the sense that kids (and adults) want to continue playing with it. Unfortunately, the shorter battery life doesn't make that possible to do for too long at any one time.

Mountain Buggy Mountain Buggy Double Storm Cover for the Urban Review

Mountain Buggy Mountain Buggy Double Storm Cover for the Urban
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is great.....at first. It is easy to put on, it has the front flap which is brilliant. It has everything going for it except......this is the cheapest plastic I have ever seen. I have used it for two months and the ENTIRE front flap has cracked so badly, that it is completely unusable. It is a real shame, and I was very surprised that they would use such a poor quality plastic. I have not had a chance to find an aftermarket replacement, but I remember seeing something at BuyBuyBaby, but I have not gone there to see it. I will update this if I find anything.

American Plastic Toy On the Go Stroller Review

American Plastic Toy On the Go Stroller
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This stroller is poorly made. Although it's cheap in price- I still would not purchase. The cradle will not stay on the stoller-- constantly falls off. This really frustrated my child. It also breaks easily- we had pieces break off it. I definitely would not recommend purchasing this stroller-- I was very dissapointed. It is worth it to spend the extra money for a nicer one! Ours ended up in the trash.

This clever doll stroller is really three toys in one: a stroller, a buggy and a detachable rocking cradle/carrier. Just remove the cradle and fold up the seat to use as a stroller. The rocking cradle can also be used separately as a doll carrier. The On The Go Stroller includes handy storage space for doll accessories beneath the seat. Doll not included.

Having great fun with the buggy, but i would advise that if you want to give it some serious caning then you upgrade a lot of the standard parts. After 5 hrs of running the spur gear stripped.
Also I think the seller should reveiw his price. Other web sellers are doing the exact same car for half the price!

The Hornet Electric Radio Control Race Buggy Kit Review

The Hornet Electric Radio Control Race Buggy Kit
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It is in every aspect, underneath, a Grasshopper and vise versa.
Very fun to drive, affordable and makes you reminice of the 1980s when life was much simpler and all you had to worry about was not getting your fingers burned by the hot ceramic resistors of your R/C after each race.
Sure the RC10 dominated the tracks but there were us, the masses who ran with mid to high-end Tamiyas who almost always end up losing to Team Associated. Either our Tamiyas were sturdy but heavy, light but tips over or just plain stock.
Nevertheless, the Hornet was one R/C i wanted to have. I didnt want my Grasshopper lonely, so i wanted to get one...which my dad didnt allow to happen. But now, i have one. Just a few hours of build time since the instructions are very easy to understand and follow. Much like the Grasshopper, the cover must be removed when accessing the batter connector, be it for connecting or disconnecting. The cover is easier to remove compared to its sister since the cover is plastic and is just held on the chassis by conventional pins. No unscrewing necessary.
The handling is quite the same with the Grasshopper, its the drift thats more on this unit. Probably because this one has spiked tires while its sister has paddle-type ones. My 9 year-old son has an RC10 and he drives the Hornet as if it was his AE but he hasnt tipped it yet. Since the Hornet drifts more than it wants to tip itself.
Its a great toy to have, to play with and to collect.

Traxxas Bandit RTR Buggy w/XL5 ESC Review

Traxxas Bandit RTR Buggy w/XL5 ESC
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Specifics:
The Traxxas Bandit XL-5 is a popular 1/10 scale model remote control buggy capable of 35+ MPH speeds right out of the box. Traxxas is a leading RC manufacturer based in Plano Tx. The assembled buggy is about a foot long and weighs in at about 3 lbs. The Bandit buggy style has been around since 1995 and shares many parts with the Rustler. Currently there are 2 available new models, the 2405 as seen here and the 2407 also known as the Bandit VXL. Sticking with the 2407 as seen here, the buggy is on and off road capable in wet and dry conditions due to Traxxas engineers creating waterproof electronics. The Bandit XL-5 is rated for skill level 1 for ease of set-up, maintenance, and support. It's important to consider that it also has a "training" mode with reduced power to make learning to drive easier and fun at the same time (not to mention safer). Currently, new Traxxas Bandits come with everything needed to get up and running with the exception of 8AA batteries for the transmitter. Parts are readily available from hobby stores that carry the Traxxas brand and the internet.
The Driving:
Setting up is easy, basically charge the battery, plug it in, turn it on and your off.
The Bandit is fast, fun, and durable. It can handle almost any terrain from packed snow and asphalt to dirt and light mud. Plowed fields and forest floors are the only places that come to mind that may not work in the Bandits favor. Driving is easy and intuitive with the transmitter trigger and wheel control. Both throttle and steering is proportional, meaning turn a little and the wheels turn a little. Lefty's may find the right handed steering a little getting used to. With all the speed and power built into the Bandit it's good to know that they are also durable. Even with reasonable care I have flipped and tumbled the Bandit in the dirt, driven into fences, and jumped and landed various ways and the bandit keeps going, usually still on it's feet (or tires)(check youtube for videos). Currently the supplied battery pack will give you 10-20 minutes driving time per charge. This leads to purchasing faster chargers and more batteries which cost about $40 for a charger and between $20-$100 for a battery. A word on safety, at top speeds the 3 lb weight can hit something as hard as a hammer. The batteries produce 3000-8000 milli-amps, more than enough for very serious shocks, burns, and worse. Aftermarket Li-Po batteries have a whole host of cautionary statements. Drivers/owners/buyers should exercise appropriate caution.
Moving up:
Even your basic Bandit has a whole host of upgradable parts available, aluminum replacement pieces, tires, electronics and motors, even the gearing can be changed to better adapt to pavement or dirt. If your board with driving your Bandit around the neighborhood there are RC clubs that sponsor racing and other activities. It's a good overall experience for young and old alike.

Monster XX 1: 16 Pro-Grade R/C AWD Buggy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This "Off road RC Vehicle" didn't even have time to hit 20 mph. I bought this thing for my son as a Christmas present. We took it out onto a long paved road. It started moving and turning perfectly for about 45 seconds. After that it started to slow down and stopped turning all together. Closer examination revealed that the little piece of plastic holding the body and the springs together had broke. I can't even imagine what would happen if you took it off road. If you ask me, you can't get any decent RC vehicles for under [...]bucks.
If you absoulutely have to buy this go to target. You can get it for [...] dollars there. This thing is joke.
IF this was helpfull please click this review was helpfull. If you have any questions pleas ask me with the comment box. I will answer as soon as possible.
